“The Hora”  –  No Jewish wedding is complete without the Hora, or chair dance. In this tradition, a few strong guests hoist the bride and groom high above the crowd on chairs to the lively  sounds of “Hava Nagila”. Friends and family dance around in an energetic circle. “Hava Nagila” (Hebrew: הבה נגילה‎, Havah Nagilah, “Let us rejoice”) is an Israeli folk song traditionally sung at Jewish celebrations.

We loved being with Annie + Jon’s family and friends as they celebrated their beautiful wedding day in New Orleans. Everyone witnessed loyalty to their faith and family as they also embraced and shared the fun and lively New Orleans traditions. The party at The Ritz Carlton New Orleans was non stop all night long and ended with a New Orleans brass band and second line. You can see the joy and happiness unfold in their Wedding Film below. Enjoy!
